Ministries with Children and Youth

Children’s Ministries First Christian Church is full of activities for children. On Sunday morning, classes for all ages offer an opportunity to explore Bible stories in creative ways. Each worship service includes a special moment for children, and Children’s Church offers an opportunity for age appropriate worship during the 10:45 service. For kids who prefer to remain in worship with their parents, we provide a special children’s bulletin and other quiet activities. During the summer, children and families are invited to participate in Vacation Bible School, a week-long experience that includes Bible study, crafts, recreation and fellowship. We actively participate in the Camp and Conference program of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Capital Area, where we have two beautiful camping/conference sites: Bethany Beach, Delaware and Mary Mac in Western Maryland.
