First Christian Church has always been an important part of Karen’s
life. Her mother was a charter member, and Karen was married here in 1981.
She has served as secretary of the board, treasurer, and deacon, as well
as on the finance and administrative councils. She has been a Vacation
Bible School volunteer and was active in Chi Rho and CYF.
Karen holds a BA in English from Lynchburg College, and has been the
church secretary since January 1996. She enjoys working with old friends
and making new ones through her work at the church.
Karen is an avid volunteer, working with the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
She is a Senior Leader for Children of the American Revolution and is
a member of Daughters of the American Revolution. She and her husband
Tim have three children, Andy, Sarah, and Emily.
