A movement for wholeness in a fragmented world

For Visitors

No matter who you are or where you come from, all are welcome at First Christian Church. If this is your first visit, we’d like to share a few things to make your experience comfortable and enjoyable.

11140015_10152975177174667_1749976249758753437_nYou can find us in the Seven Corners neighborhood of Falls Church. Visit our Worship page for details about Sunday services and activities.

Hearing assist systems, as well as children’s bulletins, books, and crayons, are available in the parlor. Don’t worry about having to dress up for church. If you want to wear a suit and tie, that’s okay. If you want to wear jeans, that’s fine too.

During the service, there is a children’s time. Your children are welcome to come forward and hear a message geared for them. Afterwards, they are free to go back and sit with you, attend Children’s Church, or go to the nursery until the end of service. Our nursery, located on the lower level, is professionally staffed all morning.

A few words about communion. We come to God’s Table every Sunday. We practice open communion, with grape juice and gluten-free, vegetarian bread, and all are invited to participate if they choose to do so. Most Sundays, we come forward and are served at the front of the sanctuary by our Deacons and Elders. If you prefer to remain in your seat, you will be served there.

If you would like to speak to someone in order to learn more about First Christian Church, call our office at 703-532-8220.

By the way, you probably want to know why we are called “First Christian.” That’s because we are part of a denomination called the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). We are part of a family of 700,000 spread across the United States and Canada.

Hope to see you on Sunday!
