 Welcome to FCCFC

 Welcome to First Christian Church!

I hope  that this website can give you a taste of the ministry and mission that inspires the people at First Christian... and outside our doors.  Though no paragraph could describe a congregation diverse in personality and spirit, there are many qualities that touch on the faith that we seek to embrace and live:  Christ-centered, spiritually nurtured, critically thoughtful, passionately devoted, biblically based and structured, worship driven, other focused, open in spirit to all who seek.   In the words of Paul, translated by Eugene Peterson, we are committed to "trusting steadily in God, hoping unswervingly, and loving extravagantly."

        Become part of our community.

Becoming the
Family of God.
"I will not leave you orphaned."

We worship at 8:30 and 10:45 Sunday mornings (and join together frequently for a 10:00 am combined service), offering Christian Education classes for all ages at 9:45.  First Christian lives amidst a geographic community alive with multi-cultural and inter-religious dialogue which we have felt called to welcome and embrace. We do this through our Safe Haven day shelter, serving breakfast and lunch Tuesdays and Thursdays to the hungry in our community. We have celebrated the Iftar breaking of the Ramadan fast with our Muslim neighbors.  Our Crossroads children’s program is vital and growing, as well as our Toolkits for Life adult series.  We opened a multi-media library, with all resources free to the public, which complements our theological library.  We are blessed with a wondrous choir on Sunday mornings and an outdoor chapel in which prayer vigils and outdoor services are offered. Please do browse through this website for more information on our ministries and programs and feel free to call or email us.

We would love to have you join us in worship and service as we seek to bear witness to the tremendous love of God known to us through Jesus, the living Christ in our midst.  May the peace of Christ be with you!

Rev. Lee Hull Moses, Minister of Faith and Family
